Homapal - Materialising sustainability

Our Group’s strategy

Materialising Sustainability (a Group perspective)

We are part of the materials division of Broadview – alongside other well-known brands, like Trespa, Arpa, FENIX, Formica Group, Westag, and Direct Online Services.
As part of this Group, we share a common sustainability approach, whose key element is reducing our carbon footprint.
It means putting into action investments to minimise the environmental impact in all of the operations and products and, consequently, reduce our footprint. This long-term strategy consists of two main pillars: the replacement of the most impactful inputs and the improvement of the efficiency of materials and processes.

All this is summarised in the sustainability mission that outlines the constant commitment of our Group: Making Real Impact for Less Impact.

Sustainability is a key part of our Group’s License to Operate (LTO) strategy. One of the main elements of our approach is being highly transparent about our environmental footprint, as well as our plans for its reduction and our targets. We have been investing significant efforts in improving our environmental performance through the implementation of a number of projects and initiatives and we are continuously looking for opportunities to further reduce our environmental footprint. The focus of such initiatives is on the stages of the supply chain that are under our control and that we can influence. This allows us to improve our processes by increasing efficiency and selecting less impactful raw materials. However, to ensure even more transparency and capture most of the environmental impacts along the supply chain, we calculate and disclose the carbon footprint associated with the disposal of our panels,  i.e. the so called cradle-to-grave carbon footprint.
