Are Homapal products classified according to FSC?
Yes, Homapal products are FSC classified. The corresponding certificate is available at www.homapal.info
Do Homapal decors have a predetermined travel running direction?
Yes, the running direction of the decors is marked by the direction arrow on the protective film.
What is a balancer and what is its function?
A balancer refers to the HPL board, which is pressed onto the support board from the back during pressing. This technical balancing ensures that the resulting tension is balanced out when different materials are pressed together. Homapal balancers usually do not have surface finish. Which edge do you recommend?
Homapal does not manufacture its own edges. The edge recommendations of our partners are available the following link: www.homapal.com/downloads .The link to the respective website of the edge manufacturer is also directly linked in the document.
Which support boards are available or recommended?
All common support materials used for laminates are also suitable for Homapal laminates. Additional information is available in the technical data sheet.
What board formats are available?

What should I keep in mind for storage and conditioning?

How can I dispose of the products?
The product does not contain any hazardous substances, so that it can be usually disposed of as commercial waste.
Do you also supply composite elements?
Yes, you can also order composite elements. We supply these through our partners in Germany.
Do you provide magnetic boards in special colours?
You can create an individual magnetic surface using our Decor 8200 magnetic board, sanded on both sides, in combination with lacquer, wallpaper, film, veneer, and HPL.
Are there any images of the entire boards?
For each decor there is a product page on our website where you can also find detailed and full-sheet images to download.
Where can I use the products?
Homapal products can be used indoors. Information on the applications is available in the technical data sheet at www.homapal.info .
Are the boards suitable for outdoor use?
No, the decors are suitable only for indoor use.
Can I also use the decors as laminate for the flooring?
No, the decors do not meet the technical requirements for use as flooring.
Are the decors suitable for vertical and horizontal applications?
As a rule, Homapal boards are suitable for vertical applications. Our Homapal SRM collection is an exception. These decors can also be used horizontally.
What materials are your decor surfaces made of?
Homapal uses thin, rolled up films made of aluminium, copper, brass and stainless steel.
How thick are the decors?
Homapal laminate boards are between 0.8-1.8mm thick.
What does HPL stand for?
HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate. In case of Homapal, these are decorative high pressure laminates with genuine metal surfaces and magnetic boards.
How many decors are currently available in the collection?
The current collection comprises over 150 decors from product categories Elements, Gestures, Perspectives, SRM and Magnetic & Boards.
What does SRM stand for?
SRM stands for Scratch Resistant Matt, the surface has an enhanced abrasion and scratch resistance. Our SRM decors are super matte and have anti-fingerprint properties. In contrast with other decors in the collection, they can also be used horizontally.
Are the Magnetic & Boards magnetic or magnetically bonding?
Homapal Magnetic & Boards include magnetic laminate boards and writeable surfaces without magnetic bonding. High magnetic bonding force is achieved using a laminate embedded iron film.
Questions regarding machining
How is the material glued together?
Information on the machining film is available in our technical data sheets at www.homapal.info .
What should be kept in mind when machining magnetic boards?
Please note that sparks fly during machining due to embedded iron film. For machining information as well as other information please refer to the technical data sheet, the processing information for magnetic boards is available at www.homapal.info .
Can the boards be bent?
The bending radius group for the respective decor is available in the technical data sheet. With this bending radius group you can determine the bending radii convex/concave and longitudinal/transverse, using the bending radii table. The technical data sheet is available at www.homapal.info.
How should the mirror-polished decors be bonded?
As with our other decors, mirror-polished decors can be bonded with e.g. white glue, reaction adhesive (epoxy) or neoprene contact adhesive. However, there are a few things to keep in mind in case of mirror-polishes, these are available in the technical data sheet under the item “Instructions for mirror-polished”. Please read the instructions thoroughly before processing mirror-polished decors.
What can or should be placed between structured decors?
When pressing decors with deep structures onto support boards it is advisable to ensure pressure compensation using suitable cushion pads (foam mat, rubber mat, etc.), as when pressing directly against the heating board the pressure designed for the entire surface is effective only on the raised positions and is therefore significantly higher (except when bonding to frames: Here the excessive padding can cause the frame to show through.
Which saw blades are suitable?
We usually recommend using carbide-tipped cutting tools for cutting Homapal decors. In case of Magnet and SRM decors and Stainless Steel decor 641/000, please note the additional processing instructions and the additional information in the technical data sheet. The technical data sheet is available at www.homapal.info .
Do you have specialised processors for magnet processing?
Instructions for magnet processing is available in the technical data sheet and in the processing instructions. If you do not wish to process the magnetic boards yourself, feel free to contact your office service sales representative and we will refer you to an experienced processor or we will be happy to offer you magnetic compact boards.
Should I remove the protective film before processing?
This protective film is a transport protection film. The surfaces protected by removable protective film should not be exposed to light for long periods. There is a risk that removal is made more difficult (use a cover board!). An exception is the SRM decor, here please leave the protective film on the surface when processing.
Is there a risk of sparks flying when processing the decor?
There is generally no risk of sparks flying. The only exception here is the Magnet-Decor and the Decor 641/000, as an iron/stainless steel film is used for these decors. Other decors can be sawed, bored and milled like all common high pressure boards (HPL), whereby the use of carbide-tipped cutting tools are recommended.
Is postforming possible with Homapal decors?
No, postforming is not possible with Homapal decors.
Do the surfaces have to be post-treated before processing?
No, the decors need not be post-treated before processing.

Do you have any stock items?
Yes, all decors in the European collection are stock articles.
Where can external freight forwarders collect Homapal products?

How many boards fit into a box?
Depending on the decor, between 3-5 boards fit into a standard cardboard box for cardboard shipping. Cardboard box shipping does not apply to SRM and Tuet decors. These must be shipped on palettes.
What conduct or which requirements apply for ensuring the safety for delivery/collection?
You receive instructions at the factory gate. Thereafter, please drive to the STOP marking and register with the shipping office.
Is the truck allowed to be parked on the premises overnight?
No, overnight parking of trucks on the premises is not possible.
Where is the next possibility for overnight truck parking?
To park the truck overnight you can use the following official truck parking spaces.
What information must be presented for goods acceptance?
Please have the collection reference ready for the goods acceptance.
What kind of vehicle can be used to collect goods?
Depending on the loading dimensions you require at least a tarpaulin sprinter with side tarpaulin cladding / No box body.

The stock levels in the Dealer Login are updated continuously in short intervals. In case of inconsistencies or if you are not sure then feel free to contact your sales representative.

How can I order samples? Do I need a login?
You do not need login to order Homapal A5 samples. Simply click on the “+ DIN A5” button on the respective product page on the website to add a sample to the sample basket. Note: Please note that you cannot search and add samples directly in the sample basket. Please go to the respective product page.
In which formats are the samples available?
The standard size of our sample is DIN A5. If you need larger samples (DIN A4), please contact your responsible sales representative in the filed service and your request will be taken care of.
How much do the samples cost?
Shipment of samples for you as a customer is free of charge. We reserve the right to contact you in case of unusually large sample quantity
Do I have to contribute to the shipping costs as a customer?
Homapal takes over the shipping costs for you. Samples including shipping are free of charge for you. .
Is direct shipping of samples abroad possible?
If your headquarters is abroad or if you wish to send samples to a customer abroad please specify this in the sample inquiry and we will forward the sample inquiry to your subsidiaries. The samples are then shipped directly to the respective destination country.
Are the HOMAPAL catalogues for 2022-2023 still valid?
The HOMAPAL catalogues for 2022-2023 are still valid/available. The years 2022-2023 refer to the original launch period of the European Collection. There will be a supplementary collection. However, the old "2022-2023" catalogue remain available. (An exception is the Decor M6430, which is no longer available).
Can I add several decors to the sample basket at the same time or enter the selected decor numbers somewhere?
The decors can only be added to the sample basket one at a time via the product pages. Simply click on the “+ DIN A5” button on the respective product page on the website to add a sample to the sample basket. Note: Please note that you cannot search and add samples directly in the sample basket. Please go to the respective product page.
Technical questions
How should magnetic boards be cleaned?
See the instructions for "Basic and regular cleaning” at www.homapal.info or watch the video.
How should the metal surfaces be cleaned in daily use?
Always use a soft, non-linting cloth and a mild cleaning agent for cleaning. Do not use strongly alkaline and strongly acidic cleaning agents or cleaning agents with abrasive components. Use alternative cleaning agents only after consultation with Homapal Application Technology.
Can the surfaces be repaired?
Unfortunately, scratches or dents can not be repaired.
Which adhesive is recommended?
Information on bonding is available in our technical data sheets at www.homapal.info.
Which whiteboard markers are recommended?
Homapal does not recommend any specific brands. However, the quality of the marker used has a significant impact on the cleaning results.
Experience shows that quality, age, usage, and storage of the pens have a decisive influence on the cleaning of the magnetic boards. The mixing ratio of the marker ink (3-Components) required for dry wipeability is ensured only with horizontal storage. Follow the storage instructions provided by the board marker manufacturer.
Are the boards rollable?
The surfaces can be bent or rolled to some extent, the precise data is available in the respective technical data sheets at ww.homapal.info. Caution: SRM and Tuet decors are not rollable.
How are the format tolerances?
The format tolerances of our decors are available in the technical data sheets under the item “Tolerances” at www.homapal.info.
