Genuine metals on tables and counters
SRM Scratch Resistant Matt surface: The perfect surface solution in frequently used interior applications
Niedergörsdorf, with its “Altes Lager” district, is located halfway between Berlin and Leipzig. Here, in the southwest of Brandenburg, the Wohnkontor (home living) department of RBS Elektroinstallation GmbH redesigned the interior of the “Zur Alten Post” restaurant. For the mix of copper, black and dark grey shades, a genuine metal was used for the first time on the table surfaces. Homapal supplied the “401/200 SRM” copper decor for this.
SRM stands for “Scratch-Resistant Matt”, and it is with this surface that Homapal is opening a completely new chapter in the overall 2023 collection. The highly scratch-resistant matt surface with anti-fingerprint properties is available in combination with five magnetic and 22 metal decors.
With its properties, the SRM surface for the first time ever offers planners and architects the possibility of using genuine metal surfaces horizontally without any hesitation – in exhibition stand construction and shop fitting, for tables and work surfaces in offices, in the contract sector and also for counters and tables in bars, hotels and restaurants.
In the “Zur Alten Post” restaurant in Niedergörsdorf, guests are visibly impressed by the newly designed look. SRM demonstrates its hard-wearing quality on the heavily used tables. And not only that: the velvety soft feel is inviting, the anti-fingerprint properties make the table tops low-maintenance and durable eye-catchers. A special technique creates an ultra-matt look with anti-fingerprint function and unique impression of depth.
Entirely in keeping with the spirit of the time, “Scratch-Resistant Matt” can not only be combined with copper but also with other on-trend decors, such as aluminium and brass in various textures and colours, like taupe, champagne or gold, as well as with magnetic boards in the plain colours of macchiato, light grey, stone grey and white.
Homapal has specialised in exclusive and, in some cases, hand-made genuine-metal laminates as well as multifunctional magnetic boards. Genuine metal decors score with their mix of colour, surface and feel – a combination that cannot be imitated and provides unmistakable benefits. The metallic accentuations on a sales counter, but also in wall panelling in a hotel, or magnetic kitchen furniture fronts for conveniently holding recipes, provide inspiration for many more ideas.
The new SRM – Scratch-Resistant Matt surface opens up further market segments. At the same time, Homapal places emphasis on permitting maximum creative freedom as well as the combination of colour and decor in producing all-embracing spatial concepts.
